Terms & Conditions
These T&C's are intended to help avoid any possible misunderstanding and ensure smooth and mutually beneficial business transactions.
- In these Terms and Conditions “we” “our” or “us” shall refer to Steamond Travel (Maida Vale) Limited and “you “ your” or “yours” shall refer to the client and all persons for whom a booking is made.
- If you instruct us to simply book a component or series of components relating to your travel or holiday arrangements, we will make each booking as agent for the relevant supplier(s) and your contract will be subject to the supplier's own terms and conditions and our responsibility is to make the booking in accordance with your instructions. We are happy to provide you with or advise on the Supplier’s terms and conditions if you request us to do so.
- We are IATA licensed and covered where appropriate by ATOL.
- The person who makes the booking confirms that he/she has the authority to accept, and does accept these conditions on behalf of all persons named in the booking and that you are jointly and severally responsible for all payments due from each and every party member for whom the booking is made.
- You are responsible for checking that you have all passports visas and other documents which may be necessary for travelling to the countries or places that you are visiting and that they are sufficiently in date. Many countries require that your passport has at least six months validity after the date of your intended departure from that country.
- If you give us information on behalf of someone else, you confirm that the other person has appointed you to act on his or her behalf and has agreed that you can give consent on his or her behalf to the processing of his or her data; receive on his or her behalf our data protection notice; and you consent to the processing of his or her physical or mental health or condition or religious beliefs'.
- If you incur any problems during your trip, it is essential that you bring them to the attention of the supplier and to us as soon as possible so that we have a chance to investigate and rectify. Any delay in notifying us may mean that we are unable to resolve your problem and to that extent we are not liable to you for any losses flowing from that delay in notification.
- You should also ensure you meet the health requirements of all the countries that you plan to visit.
- Unless other specific arrangements are in place and agreed by us, you must pay the balance by the due date shown on the confirmation/invoice. Failure to do so can result in cancellation and/or further charges.
- Payment may be made by bank transfer in £ sterling, cheque or by credit card (which may be subject to a transaction charge), or € Euro, subject to prior agreement. Payment is taken as made when the monies are actually received in our bank account
- Any changes to a reservation should be notified to us as soon as possible by email and may be subject to an administrative charge. We will try to give effect to your changes but this will be dependent on the terms and conditions of our suppliers. Please ask when making a booking what flexibility there is to change any bookings once they are confirmed.
- We accept responsibility for the actions of our staff or personnel directly under our direct control. We are not responsible for arranging insurance unless you request us to do so. We strongly recommend that you and all members of your party are covered by a policy of travel insurance. We are not to be liable for any indirect or consequential losses sustained by you.
- We are not liable for any loss that may be suffered by you as a result of force majeure including but not limited to Act of God, war, riot, strike, trade dispute, inclement weather or additional expenses due to increased costs.
- For the purposes of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 and notwithstanding any other provision of this agreement, this agreement is not intended to, and does not give any person who is not a party to it any right to enforce any of its provisions
- We will use your personal data for the purpose of booking your travel accommodation and any other services. We may disclose your information to our service providers and agents for these purposes. We may have to transfer your personal data to countries outside the EEA where data protection rules do not apply
- These standard terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and in the unlikely event of any claim, dispute or difference, both you and we irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
